Esports at RTF888 – Why Malaysian Players Choose Us
E-sports is no longer just a pastime for kids or teenagers glued to their screens. It is a multi-billion ringgit industry with global audiences that rival traditional sporting events, and professional athletes who train just as hard as any badminton or football player. Malaysia, in particular, is one of the most active countries in Southeast Asia's esports ecosystem — from Mobile Legends players in every corner of the country to professional teams competing on the international stage.
RTF888 understands the Malaysian esports community inside out. That's why we built our esports section specifically for local fans — not just a copy-paste of generic betting markets from global platforms. We cover the leagues and tournaments that Malaysian players actually follow, offer competitive odds, and deliver a smooth betting experience whether you're on a smartphone or desktop.
Mobile Legends – Malaysia's #1 E-Sports Title at RTF888
Ask any Malaysian esports fan and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) will almost certainly be the first name they mention. This mobile MOBA dominates the Malaysian market with an enormous player base spanning school-going teens to young professionals. RTF888 provides full coverage across all competitive Mobile Legends tiers involving Malaysian and Southeast Asian teams.
MPL Malaysia (Mobile Legends Professional League) is the premier MLBB league in the country, and it sits at the heart of the rtf888 esports section. Each MPL MY season features dozens of matches with the nation's top teams competing. We open betting markets for every match, including match winner, map handicap, total kills, first blood and many more market types favoured by experienced bettors.
Beyond MPL MY, rtf888 also covers the M-Series World Championship — the most prestigious Mobile Legends world tournament. When Malaysian teams step onto the world stage, our platform will be there so fans can support their favourite squads in the most exciting way possible. Odds for international matches involving Malaysian teams always generate an extraordinary response from our players.
DOTA 2 & CS2 – Veteran Esports Titles That Still Deliver
DOTA 2 and Counter-Strike — now in its latest iteration, CS2 — are two of the longest-running and most respected titles in competitive gaming. Their player and viewer communities in Malaysia are deeply loyal and knowledgeable; they don't just watch, they genuinely understand the intricacies of the game. RTF888 respects that level of expertise by offering betting markets that are more in-depth and detailed than what you'd find on a standard platform.
For DOTA 2, rtf888's coverage spans the DPC (Dota Pro Circuit) regional leagues, the ESL One series, and of course The International — the annual tournament with the largest prize pool in esports history. As each TI season approaches, the rtf888 esports section becomes the most active destination on the platform, with players diving into deep analysis and placing bets based on team records, hero compositions, and individual player performance.
CS2 is a tactical shooter with the most mature esports scene in the world. ESL Pro League, IEM (Intel Extreme Masters), and BLAST Premier are among the top leagues with full coverage on rtf888. Malaysian players who follow CS2 closely often find good value in our markets — especially for matches involving smaller teams that don't always get as much attention as top sides like NAVI, Vitality, or NaVi.
Valorant & League of Legends – The New Generation of Competitive Esports
Valorant by Riot Games has become one of the fastest-growing esports titles since its launch, and the Malaysian community ranks among the most active in Southeast Asia. The VCT (Valorant Champions Tour) Pacific features top teams from across the region, and rtf888 provides full coverage of all major matches — including group stages, playoffs, and finals.
League of Legends, on the other hand, is a PC MOBA that has long dominated the global esports scene. While MLBB is more popular in Malaysia on mobile, LoL still commands a loyal following that closely tracks the LCK (Korea), LPL (China), and LEC (Europe) — leagues that showcase the highest level of competitive play in the world. The Worlds Championship held every year-end is the most anticipated esports event on the calendar, and rtf888 opens its markets well ahead of the action.
Free Fire & PUBG Mobile – Mobile Esports That Hits Different
Malaysia is one of the most active mobile gaming markets in the region, and two battle royale titles — Free Fire and PUBG Mobile — have an enormous player base here. FFML (Free Fire Malaysia League) and PMSL (PUBG Mobile Super League) Southeast Asia are among the most anticipated leagues for their respective communities.
RTF888 covers both of these leagues with betting markets tailored to the battle royale format — which differs from MOBA or FPS titles. Beyond betting on the winning team, you can wager on a team's total kills, final placement, and a range of other prop bets that make watching the tournament even more exciting.
For fans and viewers looking to start betting on mobile esports, rtf888 is a natural fit — our platform is fully optimised for smartphones. You can watch a match stream on one tab and place your bets on another, all from the same device, with no need to switch platforms or switch screens.
How to Bet on E-Sports Smartly at RTF888
Successful esports betting calls for a different approach than traditional sports betting. The most consistent winners in esports wagering are usually those who genuinely follow and understand the games they bet on — not just those who rely on a team's or player's big name.
In Mobile Legends, for example, understanding the current meta — the dominant heroes and strategies in the latest patch — can give you a significant edge when making betting decisions. Teams that adapt quickly to a new meta often outperform expectations, while those slow to adjust may underdeliver despite a strong win record.
Depositing for e-sports betting at rtf888 works the same way as every other section — Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay, DuitNow, and FPX via Maybank2u and CIMB Clicks. Minimum deposit is RM20 and funds arrive within seconds. Winnings can be withdrawn within 15 to 30 minutes once your withdrawal request is approved.
RTF888 & the Malaysian E-Sports Community
More than just a betting platform, rtf888 aims to be a genuine part of Malaysia's growing esports community. We follow the local scene closely — from player news and roster moves to friendly match results — to ensure the odds and markets we offer stay relevant and accurately reflect what's actually happening on the competitive stage.
We also continually update our list of supported titles in line with industry developments. If a new game gains significant traction in Malaysia — as happened with Valorant a few years back — rtf888 will be quick to add it to our betting roster. That's our ongoing commitment to a local esports community that never stops growing.
